Day Four
I'm grateful for Prayer.
These past few months my prayers
have been getting longer, and longer....
and it seems like every time I turn around
there is something or someone else to pray for.
Tomorrow's post will explain this a little more.
But for now I share this poem on prayer.
It is my scripture book-marker and
it's called
"The Difference"
I got up early one morning
and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I didn't have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
and heavier came each task.
"Why doesn't God help me?"
I wondered. He answered:
"You didn't ask."
I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled on gray and bleak.
I wondered why God didn't show me
He said, "But you didn't seek"
I tried to come into God's presence;
I used all my keys at the lock,
God gently and lovingly chided,
"My child, you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning,
and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I had to take time to pray.
So I know there is a limited amount of time in a day.
But make sure you take the time to pray.
And in your prayers, could you include Royce Brown
and his family? He had a heart attack last week
after a surgery and that's all I really know.
But if you can, include him in your prayers
I know that every one can help.
Thanks so much for that poem Mara! It's beautiful!
