MIA...but caught up now!

Back to a Lizard Girl!
So, I've been missing in the blogging action.
While driving, there have been many things
that I have wanted to blog about but
I haven't had the time.  Hooray for my seven off!
So here is a sum-up of May:

Knock knock!
"Um...Martha...you have some friends in
your front yard that don't belong!" haha
We drove by and saw these two guys
in her front yard.  We stopped but nobody
was home. After calling we at least got them
off of her lawn.

The Grays Lake Relief Society made a trip
up to the Rexburg Temple last Saturday.
It was a wonderful trip.  On the way home
we drove back through the Bone road.
Look out! cause there are two places where
the road looks like this:

 Jake and Kara got married,
they are going to be so happy together.
I'm so happy for them,
congrats you two!

There was a HUGE slide on the road to Jackson.
There is a video on youtube that shows a time lapse
of it. Crazy crazy, I wonder how and if it will
change running the river.

Then here are a couple of funny things:
Seth's senior class moved all of the desks and chairs
into the auditorium, and then the leftovers
all went out on the football field.
Then to top things off, it snowed that night.
Hilarious!
Mom did a full post, check it out:

First of May

(Posting a day late...woops!)
Today was my last day (this school year) in the 28th Ward.  We didn't have Sunday School, and had a longer fast and testimony meeting.  I was given the opportunity at the end of the lesson to bear my testimony because I conducted today.  Of course I didn't/couldn't say everything that I wanted to.  I have been so thankful for the opportunity to serve as the first counselor in my Relief Society.  When the bishop first extended the calling to me, I know that my jaw dropped and the word "Huh?" came out of my mouth.  Me?  I hadn't met very many girls yet, but I knew that there were so many others who were qualified for the calling and that they would be so much better at it!  But I know that every calling that the bishop extends comes from our Heavenly Father.  I know that Lisa was inspired to call all of us to our positions.  I have learned so much from these great examples. They are beautiful daughters of our Heavenly Father and have such strong testimonies.  I never worried about them because they always followed through with what they said and took great care in fulfilling their responsibilities.  They have become great friends and I love them so much!

The same can be said of all the girls in our Relief Society.  They are just incredible!  There is a spirit that radiates from each one of them, and they have all been such great examples to me!  I've never been with a group that has been so spiritually mature, and I'm honored to have had the opportunity to serve them.  I know that, at times, I have been able to feel some of the love that our Father in Heaven has for His daughters.  There were many times that I would be sitting up front during Relief Society and a thought such as "Every single girl in here is perfectly beautiful, and of infinite worth".  With a tear in my eye, I would just agree.  I know that our Heavenly Father has a love for each and every one of us that we can't comprehend.  I have felt it time and time again when I have accessed the Atonement.  I know that our Savior, Jesus Christ, atoned for our sins.  He broke the bands of death so that we may return to live with Him again.  What comfort it can bring when I lose those close to me, to know that this life is not the end and that death is just a step in the Plan.  I know that the Savior and God the Father appeared to Joseph Smith and the gospel was restored on this earth.  I know that this gospel is entirely true, every part.  I know that the Book of Mormon is true.  I have read it in its entirety and asked in faith to know of its truth and the Spirit has born witness to me.  This year has been a tough one, but I have found answers to my questions in reading it.  I know that even though I may not understand why some things happen, that our Heavenly Father does and He loves us.  He will never forget us, and we need to turn to Him in everything.  We just need to be faithful and patient because everything is in His timetable.  I know that the Priesthood is the power of God.  It can work miracles.  I'm thankful for all the worthy men around me who honor it.  In my calling, I've had the opportunity to learn more about how the church operates and work with the bishopric.  I know that they received inspiration for who to put into what calling, and everything that the ward needed.  I guess I'd always just thought about how the Prophet receives everything for the, but learned more this year that each and every person can receive personal revelation for themselves.  That was the scariest thing ever in my calling.  They gave me a sheet of paper with the names of all the girls in my relief society and told me to pick three teachers and people to do the music.  Through lots of prayer, some fasting and meditating, the names just jumped out at me and I knew that they were the girls for the job.  When I met them, I had a confirmation that these girls really were the ones that Heavenly Father wanted for the job.  How awesome is that!  I was released today, and I was surprised when I cried.  I learned so much from Sister Olson (the first counselor in the Stk. Relief Society) on what to do and developed a strong relationship with her.  I absolutely loved my calling, and the opportunity I had to serve these wonderful daughters of God.  They will go on to do great things, and I can't wait to cross paths with them in the future!
