November 28th

A year ago today, these pictures were taken:

Friday is the "official" hump day, but it's been a year today
since I've seen him.

Freaking LONGest year EVER!!!!!
Thank goodness I get to talk to him in 27 days.
Everyone says the 2nd year goes by a lot faster....
Ha. I'll believe that only when it happens.

Thanksgiving Day

What a beautiful day Thanksgiving was!
I still can't believe the snow was all melted.

We had a yummy breakfast that morning.

I just had to take a picture of Kendall's eggs...
...he likes ranch haha.

Kendall would always duck when the camera came out,
but I could always get a smile out of Doug!

Then it was on to LOTS of cooking and dishes.

But boy was it fantastic when it was all ready!

Mom snapped a couple of pics for Elder Stoor.

the "kids" table

Our "porch squirrel" is still hanging around...

...and stealing Pepper's dog food.

We let the team out, hoping they'd head back down
to Grandpa's, but they didn't.  Had to take them down
the road the next morning.  But they sure looked pretty
running in the field.

These two didn't get to go, and weren't very happy.

In the afternoon, we played
Kendall LOVED the Just Dance Game on the Wii.
And he's pretty darn good too!

Note: he said at the end of the video that Megan always wins.
So she made sure to let him win a few ;)
(see where the wii remote is? haha)

We played Bunco.

The boys really liked that game

Then of course we played the Wii

and then we took a little time to relax

I hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving too!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!
If you're reading this, I'm thankful to know you!

Anyone looking to replace their turkey with a wolf???

I couldn't get close enough to get a good picture,
but we had four wolves come through the valley
this morning.  They were huge!

The first pic I took from our kitchen window, and then
I ran down in the car to try and get a pic of the
one wolf that was behind the other three.
They were all silver/grey color.
Note: Crazy that we have no snow!
Caribou does, but I'll load pics of today later.

Shelby's Last V-ball Game

I was able to swing up to West Side and watch
Shelby play her last volleyball game of this year.

She did a really good job!

Best passer on the team!

Got some good hits in too

Though I think the game may have been a little
draining for her....here is laughing as she tells me
to 'shut up' cause I am laughing at the fact that
she forgot to take off her knee pads.

She started basketball practice this last week.
First home game next weekend!

Calling all Substitutes!

...no, I'm not looking for another Mr. Tom ;)

I'm looking for a:
Substitute to take the place of my Substitute Brother!

Job Description:
Must be able to tease, make me laugh, do silly dances, and
be willing to give up the job in approximately 13 months.
Any other 'brotherly' qualities will be a plus ;)

So for the last 11 months, I've had a pretty great
substitute.  And he brought along his adorable wife and kids,
so they basically became my pretend sister-in-law and
niece and nephew.

For the last two years, they've been to our house basically
every Sunday night and become a part of our family.
We were together for almost every birthday
(of both families haha):

We went on many adventures,
like getting Christmas trees...and getting stuck haha.

cleaning up caved-in garages

anxiously waiting for Miss Emma to come
(this is from Jordan's Birthday haha)

and seeing where Jim works and the big trucks
that Mara and Seth drove.

Emma LOVED not being in a car seat
on that trip, haha.

It was fun to watch Emma grow from an infant to a toddler...

...and see Porter grow from a toddler to a
"big boy," or so he would tell me :)

Did I mention there was rarely a Sunday that we didn't get
together?  Food, naps, and games made for some fun times!

Jordan, Becca, Porter and Emma:
you are, and will be missed
SO MUCH!

But I'm so happy for you and your
new adventure.  How wonderful it was to get to know you,
and I can't wait until we meet again.
Love you guys so much!
As we said our goodbyes, there was a song that kept
coming to me, and I feel that it just fits:

God be with you til we meet again;
By his counsels guide, uphold you;
With his sheep securely fold you.
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus' feet,
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you til we meet again.
(LDS Hymn, no 152)
