Happy Halloween!

So this one time,
I was a witch.
You wanna know the
best thing about this costume?
I had a real wart on my nose,
and Momma just covered it with eyeliner ;)

No, I'm not dressing up this year.
No, I no longer have a wart on my nose.
But that doesn't mean I'm
not going to stuff my face with loads
of candy and be completely miserable :)

Content With What We Are

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car,
wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed,
and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels
from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a
smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making
sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there
with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed
someone's garden. I want to be there with children's
sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend
on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know
I was really here and that I really lived."
- Marjorie Pay Hinckley

"We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives.
We have to decide what is important and
then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us.
We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something.
We have to learn to be content with what we are." - Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Homecoming 2010

Homecoming this year was great!
Or at least the weekend part was :)
Jake and I headed out Thursday night for
Ethan's football game in Hyrum.
He played really good,
and it was a lot of fun to visit with
Aunt Dori and the girls.
Plus, they won!

Friday was a chill, relaxed day.
That afternoon, my friend Phil
called me and asked if I would go
to homecoming with him.
We went and had a lot of fun!
He was able to get two of his
friends to take Kali and Nicole
and we all had a ball!

Here we are all ready for the dance!

Nicole, Matt, Reese, Kali, Phil, Me

Thanks again Phil! It was a blast!

Saturday I got up and joined Amber
and her family at the tabernacle
to watch the parade...and guess who was at
the head of the parade???

Where's Waldo!?

There he is! (4th from the left)
It was Jake!

(second from right)
Pretty handsome don't you think!?
The second I saw them coming
I remembered that Jake had said he
was in the parade, so I whipped
out my camera and got a few shots.
Luckily I was on the right side!

Not the best photos, but oh well.
That afternoon was the football game.
About half way through the second quarter
it started to rain.
By half time, everybody was SOAKED!
I gave up then, and headed back.
Sounds like that was alright, cause
just after that Hawaii scored twice and
that is when the rest of my group left.
I went to the volleyball game that night as well.
They lost in 3...which stunk.
USU was so much better!
They would be neck and neck, and then
New Mexico would get just a couple of points ahead
and stay that way. But oh well!
It just makes me even more excited
for basketball to start...since I know
we will win games there! :)

Fall Break 2010: Woot!!!

Fall Break:...what break? haha
We are given one day for 'fall break'.
Luckily my classes were cancelled Thursday
and I was out early on Wednesday!

So, Wednesday I even sluffed my
last class and went to Preston!
It was for a good cause, so calm down...
Seth had a X-country meet.
He did really good and it was good to see him.

The fun on Friday started that night.
We went to Adam's park and
were throwing a frisbee around

when two girls showed up and asked if we were
there for the "blanket toss".
The only image in my head was
people tossing a blanket around...
why somebody would do this, i don't know...
but we soon learned what it actually was!
As we were leaving, some people
showed up with two sheets.
They let us join them, and it was a ball!
You grab the edges of the sheets (doubling them)
and then somebody jumps on the sheet and we
fling them into the air!
(catching them when they come down of course ;)
who knew you could have so much fun with two sheets? haha
pretty sure this was my facial expression:

haha, but is was so, so, so much fun!
We then came back to the apartment,
and then taught the guys next door
how to breathe fire!
After that we proceeded to make
a fort that we watched a movie in...
well, for ten minutes...and then we decided that
it wasn't that comfortable, haha.

We were watching the movie,
and then found out that a bunch
of people were playing laser tag.
I was completely restless, so I was game!
We got there around midnight, and didn't
get back until two am!
It was pretty much awesome,
cause we were given full reign of the fun park
so we didn't have to stay in the room.
When the night finally ended it
was three am when I crawled into bed!
In my list of "fun nights" that one
definitely made the top!

Saturday was another fun filled day!
Kim came down from ISU,
and I joined up with her and Danielle.
We played mini golf and then ate
at Firehouse!
Thanks for a great night girls!

Then, the night still wasn't over!
Lauren and Sierra had stayed here for
the weekend, but then they left to go to
American Fork that night, so I was all alone!
So,my neighbors Phil and Basia,
watched the new Karate Kid with me.
It wasn't that bad!
(You just can't compare it to the old one)

Overall, it was a great break!
This week is homecoming,
so it has been another adventurous week.
But after all that, it is going to be all business again!
Time to get back to all the homework!

Fun with DI Sweaters!

So my roommates and I went
to the DI a few weeks ago
and bought "ugly sweaters" to take
"roommate family pictures" haha.
We had a lot of fun Sunday afternoon.
We drove up Logan canyon to
take pictures in the fall colors.
Here are a few from our excursion:

Oh how I love my roommates! :)
We've had the best of times,
and I know there are many more to come!
