Less than perfect?

Intense...but I like the song. (clean version)

like you're nothing, you are perfect to me"

"They should call it the 'Seth Stoor Show!"

Idaho State Journal:
MALAD 48 SODA 76
Soda Springs visited Malad on Saturday night
and rode 18 points each by
James Frankos and Seth Stoor to a conference victory.
Tyrell Hubbard led the way for the Dragons (3-9, 0-2), who
fell to the Cardinals for the second time this season.
The Cardinals (11-3, 3-1) jumped out to a quick 13-0 lead.
The Dragons recovered, but in the third,
Stoor hit four 3-pointers to break it open.
“Soda shot really well tonight, but we could not keep up with them,”
said Malad head coach Craig Bowen. “A lot of shots went in and out and
we just could not stop there’s from just going in.”
Malad hosts West Side on Wednesday,
while Soda Springs visits American Falls on Wednesday.

When we called Grandma Petersen during the game,
she said "They should call it the Seth Stoor Show!"
Seth hit SIX three point shots for 18 pts last night.
It was AWESOME!!!!
Nice job, Bud and thanks Meg for taking all the pictures.
(I was texting Dad).

Driving it in...if the defender leaned
against him anymore, he'dve been able to take
a nap! Sheesh!

When we went to West Side,
Megan got to cheer with the Varsity.

what a stinkin' awesome job she did!

Seth just couldn't get a shot in that night, (3 pts)
but that didn't stop him from trying

goin for the steal

Seth defended #15 practically all night.
Three of 15's fouls were offensive,
and caused by Seth :)

A Big Happy Birthday to Sierra & Nicole!

Sierra & Nicole were born just

It was so much fun!

Meg's Cheer First Cheer Competition

Ok, so don't judge the photos.
I don't have ANY practice at
photographing cheerleaders.
But I've got a while to practice :)
Last Saturday was her competition in Poky.
We all loaded up with Grandma Petersen
into the new car and headed out.
It was fun to watch Megan!
Here's a few good ones:

It was fun to watch Megan, but I have to say
that afterward I really needed to engage
in some type of a 'manly' activity.
There were way TOO MANY GIRLS!
You could practically taste it in the air haha.
But overall, they got first place
in show (only non-stunting group)
and then third in their sideline performance.
Great Job Girls!

Sending Lots of Love and Prayers

My thoughts and prayers are with the Simon's family as Dale waits for a donor.  It is very difficult to wait for such a thing.  I remember when my uncle had to wait.  It will also be very difficult for the donor's family, and I pray for them as well.  Back in high school for my health class I became an advocate for organ donation.  (handed out flyers at a basketball game, and hopefully informed a lot of people)  It struck me when I was getting my first driver's license.  The lady asked me if I wanted to be listed as an organ donor.  I thought about it and said "Of course!"  Now, in saying so, of course I am not hoping to die in the near future, but when I die my organs can be used to save another's life.  How awesome would that be!?  There was a girl in our community that passed away and was able to save many lives and even give a person sight through the donation of her eyes.  So if you aren't an organ donor, think about becoming one.  You may have a good reason for not, and that is ok but how I see it:  I'm not going to need these organs when I pass on...why not give the "gift of life" to others?

Prayin for ya Dale, hang in there.

I'm also sending lots of love and prayers to the McCullough family and Jackie.
Don-Michael McCullough
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Don-Michael passed away on January 4, 2011.  He will be greatly missed.  In the obituary it reads: "During his 23 years on earth, Don-Michael left a lasting impression on all those who were blessed to know him.  He will live in the hearts and memories of his family, friends, and community, but he will rest in the arms of his Savior forever."  I hope that all can find comfort through this difficult time.  It just reminds me how precious this time on earth is, and lets me rely on my testimony of the Plan of Salvation.  I know that once we leave this life, that things are not over.  It is not the end.  Death is just a step in this progression of life.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" - John 3:16

Merry Christmas

Another year has come and gone, and so has Christmas!
I just can't believe it.  Is it just me or are years passing quicker?
Well, guess I'd better catch up in the blogging: (better late than never)
So the week before Christmas, on Thursday, we were suppose to clean
the house while Mom and Dad were both at work.
Well, Seth and I made a quick trip to Pocatello
and bought them a tv for their room!
While Megan was a sweetheart and cleaned all day.
Well, needless to say Mom figured it out because
Seth and I CAN'T lie!!! haha, and Megan isn't very good
either with her "excuses" as to why I couldn't get to the phone.
But Dad didn't have a clue.  It was so fun to see the confused look on his face
when Seth said "Look what Santa brought Dad!" hehe

Christmas was pure awesome.  When I got up, Megan and Shelby
were watching a movie.  Together we went into Seth's room,
and said "Seth, wake up! It's Christmas!"...that was at 4 in the morning...
but he wasn't upset this time, because we all wanted to be sure that we
had the tv out by their socks when they woke up.
Seth checked out his stuff from Santa, and then headed back to sleep.
I shoulda too, but instead we started another movie.
Who sleeps on Christmas morning anyways, right?

Mom and Dad woke up, and then we opened the presents
under the tree.  I was so excited for Mom to open her
present that I had got her.  It even turned out good!
I made her blog into a book and I was so excited!
I just used her posts from 2008, and she is working on 2009.
After we opened presents, we got ready to feed.
I wish I could have taken pictures, but both mine and Mom's
camera batteries were dead.  After, we came home and were
lazy all day long watching movies, napping, and playing with our
all our Christmas presents.

Sunday we went to Sacrament meeting, where I played
"Guard Him Joseph" as Megan sang.  Then both girls
sang with the Young Women.  After, we all headed into
Grandma Petersen's for her Party/Program we have each year.
Uncle Ed, Uncle Craig, and Uncle Blake's families all came.
We all had a lot of fun and enjoyed each others company.
The best part about the holidays is spending them with family!
Hope you had a Merry Christmas as well!

New Years

New Years Eve was full of adventures.
The night before, Shay and I spent the night
at Grandma's house.  We played cards with her,
and then Shay gave me a haircut before we met
Katie in McCammon.  Then we headed to Salt Lake
to pick up Logan, Colton, and Jake who were flying
in from Atlanta.  They'd taken a car back east that week.
Their flights had been delayed, so we ended up getting there
a couple hours early.  So, we went to the Layton Mall
and Old Navy.  Then we headed to the airport where we
played Uno, and then Nasty with Uno cards.  Then the boys
called and said they had landed and were just waiting to be
taxied over.  So when people came through the terminal we
put the cards away and started to watch for them.  They didn't
come...and didn't come...and then we got a call and they said
they were at the 5th Bag claim.  They must've walked right by us!
We walked over to the bag returns, and there were only four!
It was then that we realized we had waited in the wrong terminal haha!

We stopped in Layton to eat, and then headed to Logan
so Jake could pick up his truck.  Then we met them in Soda
at Grandma and Grandpa's house to head out home.
Unfortunately we did not make it back by midnight.
So we brought in the New Year at Robber's Roost, just before Chubb Flatts.
But when we got back, everything was pitch black in the house and out.
They'd flipped the breaker, and when we all got in the house
everyone yelled and hollered all the while banging pots and pans.
Our dogs thought we'd lost it, once again haha.
We turned the power back on, and listened to stories from the boys
taking their adventure back east.  Then practically all of the cousins
crashed in the living room...and can I say that Colton's feet were a
LOT closer to my head than I would have liked! haha...
Seth and I went feeding the next morning, but when we got back
there was of course food and games til everyone left that afternoon.
I hope everyone had a very Happy New Year!
and here's to an awesome 2011!

Dun-Dun-Dun!

They're gone! Finally!!!  I got my wisdom teeth out Tuesday.  I have been dreading and putting it off for a super long time.  The worst part about the whole ordeal was when he numbed my cheeks and the roof of my mouth.  Otherwise I didn't feel a thing!  Until I was no longer numb....then it was a different story.  I was done in about an hour, but  many a thing happened in that hour! haha, so here comes the story! (crazy how everything in my life can become a "story")

When I first got there, they put the happy gas on me.  I told them how everytime I have it, they always need to turn it up.  So, she was sure to just turn it up from the beginning.  Guess I shouldn't have told them that, because pretty quick I could feel my fingers all tingly.  That sensation was normal, but when I started to get really light-headed I knew that it needed to be turned down.  I looked over toward her and waved my hand.  But she didn't respond.  I looked toward the dentist and he didn't react either.  I knew something was definitely wrong.  It was then that I realized my eyes were closed!  I opened them, and raised my hand toward the dentist and still nothing happened.  I watched my hand raise, and with a very delayed reaction I heard the dentist say my name in a very echoey voice.  It was very dream-like.  He asked if I was ok, and that is when things started to "spin"...but then it wasnt really spinning.

Heres the best way I can explain it: Spin yourself around and around until you are really dizzy.  Then stop, and try to focus on one thing.  You know how you can kinda focus on that thing, but it seems to keep moving to one side?...kinda like it is spinning, but can't?? Well that is exactly what was happening around me! The dentist was "spinning" and kinda fading away.  The thought came to me "You are gonna pass out..." Well, I sure wasn't going to let that happen!  It was almost like I "took control" of myself, and made myself figure out why I was about to pass out.  It struck me instantly, and I thought "Duh! Take off the gas!"  I sat up and did just that, and after a few breaths the dentist quit spinning and things were no longer "echoey".  All I can say is that when it comes to fainting: the movies...yah, theyve got it down pretty good haha.

Thus, the epic story of getting my wisdom teeth out.  The only things that have happened since are pain, drugs, lots of yogurt, soup and other mushy foods.  Last night I did get to go to Seth's basketball game.  It was fun, but the pain from cheering so loud is worse than I thought it would be.  I'm paying for it today, but oh well!  Life goes on, and you just gotta deal with the pain!  At least it's bearable pain.
Here's some shots from last night:

His defense was amAzing!
Only 2 fouls, and he kept em shut down.

You really can't tell from the score what the game was like.
We almost mercy ruled them, but then they came back.
Good thing there wasn't more time on the clock or Soda
might've been in trouble there at the end.
Next game is Saturday against Bear Lake at home.
