Lots of Fun!

Lots of FUN!
That's all I had this past weekend.
Kimberly Empey came down for a visit!
It was so great to see her!
Because her birthday is next week,
I made her a cake! :)

Then the fun continued!
Nicole's little sisters Libby and Mia
came for a visit.
They spent Friday night and
I don't know if they had fun or not,
but I sure did!
Here's Nicole and the girls
reading scriptures.
So cute!!

With all the fun,
I have no idea how this happened.
This bruise just appeared behind my knee.
For having no idea
of how it got there
it's kindof a harsh bruise.
But your guess is as good as mine!

Then the fun continued!
I went home with Nicole for the weekend.
It was SO much fun! Saturday, Nicole had two tickets
to the General Young Women's Conference.
I was lucky enough to go with her,
Thanks again Nicole! We got to sit down near the front,
the closest I've ever been! It was an awesome experience!
(even though we were technically too old to be there, haha)
But I have to say, President Uchtdorf is AMAZING!
He was the last speaker and I just love him! I didn't know much
about President Uchtdorf until I read a talk about him by
Elder Russell M. Nelson, another incredible apostle.
Here's a link to the article:

After, we went back to Nicole's house.
The next morning, we went to her friend's homecoming
in the ward she used to go to.
Then, we came back to Logan.
It was a quick trip, but was so fun!
A big thanks goes to Nicole & her family,
you guys are incredible!
Thanks for a terrific weekend!

The Final Birthday!

So Kali is the last to have a birthday!
We've had a birthday
every other week since our
return from Christmas break.
I swear all we have done
is blow up balloons and eat
birthday cake!
Whatever will we do now!? haha

On the eve of her birthday
at midnight we "surprised"
(of course she knew it was coming)
her with monkey bread,
poppers, and confetti!

The night before,
we blew up balloons
while Kali was gone.
Which, I might add, were hard to hide!
There were 159 of them!!

We made a "curtain/cocoon" in her room.
Practically her entire half
of the room was filled with balloons.
Here's a pic of the cocoon at the front door.
We taped yarn to the end of the
cocoon, so when she came back
from water aerobics that morning,
the balloons fell out on her when she opened
the front door.

Then, that afternoon,
Kali, Nicole, Julia, Lauren, Allie, and I
all went to Coldstone. Yum!

So, we had this idea
(before everything else)
and we just needed a box,
big enough for a person.
We didn't have one
and we didn't think about
it anymore, until that night
when Kali said "There's only one thing
that could complete today, and that
would be if I had a MAN!"

Soooo, Nicole and I went to Lowe's!
We got a HUGE piece of cardboard.
Lauren helped Nicole construct it into
a box. Then, when it was complete,
Kali opened it to find....:

Eric "the MAN!!!" haha
Thanks Eric! You were awesome!

Here's Kali with her room of balloons.
Ya, I think she was happy ;)

She had 5 birthday cakes
of all different kinds.
The candy one, with the 8 ft
note from Natalie had to be my favorite though!
Thanks to everyone (303 girls, Eric, Kali's friends)
for helping us celebrate!
Overall, I think it was a success!
Happy 19th Birthday Kali!
I hope it was a good one.

You Gotta Read Mom's Blog

I may have got some good pictures, but Mom tells the whole story.
Here's her blog: jjstoor.blogspot.com/

But I love this! : " Just seconds left in the third quarter, Soda Springs post Kaden Smith missed the second of two free throws, but it was Cardinals' guard Braden Bailey who came down with the rebound. The ball then found its way into the hands of guard Seth Stoor, who hit a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer against Kamiah, completing Soda Springs comeback from a 12-point halftime deficit and kicking the door wide open on the Cardinals 2A stat tournament chances."--Idaho State Journal

A Million Posts and Collages!

I know there have been a lot!
(this is the 5th) Yikes!
But this is the last for a bit.
I thought I'd add this video:

Number 23 has Downs-syndrome,
and the coach put him in
with a minute to go. It was the best!
I looked over to the crowd
because EVERYONE
(Melba, Glenns Ferry, West J & Soda)
stood and cheered.
I wish I'd have kept videoing though
because he throws the ball in the
air and jumps around. It was so great!

On our way home, we stopped to eat.
Seth got to pick...good choice bud!

Texas Roadhouse!

The Capitol Building

While in Boise, we went to
the Capitol.
We caught the last part of
the state affairs meeting and
then had to hurry to get
to the Senate Chambers.
Senator Geddes gave us the opportunity
to sit in the VIP section. Woot, woot! haha
Well, we were sitting there listening
and a group of high school kids came in.
I looked over and thought "Hey! I know him!"
It was:

Colten!

He was with the Madison pep band.

It seems like wherever we go
we always run into family or friends.
We found Colten later and took a picture.

After we watched the Senate, we went
over to the House. They were
a lot more serious than the Senate.
At least the Senators joked around a bit.
Anyways, after there was a group
singing. Their voices echoed beautifully.
Then, we had to leave to get
to Seth's game, but we got a pic on the
steps before we left. Here are
some more pics from the adventure:

Consolation Championship

Once again, not the results
we wanted, but oh well.
You can't win them when
the refs are against you too.
They were horrible!
Even the tiniest brushes they would
call, but if a kid were to be laid out
across the floor they wouldn't
blow their whistle!
So, none of the players
knew what to do.
You can see Seth being fouled
here (top left) but NO CALL!
Luckily he kept control of the ball.

But overall, I'm glad that the boys
got to go to state and they should
be proud! After all, they did make it there
and many teams can't say that.

Wowza!

80 to 54!!! That was the final score
of the Soda vs. West J game.
We were up 32 to 30 at the half.
Then our boys came out
on FIRE!!!!

Seth had 11 points!
They played amazing, and I
just wish they could have played
that well on Thursday too.

While Mom, Dad, and Shelby tried
to find a pair of shoes for Shelby,
Megan and I decorated the truck.
I think it looked pretty good!
Carenda came to the game too!
I was glad to see her, and hopefully we
can get together next year too :)
Then, after the big win, Shelby
ran down to congratulate Seth.
She regretted that decision
the INSTANT she felt his wet
arm around her! Lol

First State Game

Soda's first game in the
State tournament was against
Kamiah. It was important for us
to win that game, in order to
stay in the top bracket
of the tournament. Unfortunately,
the results were not what
we wanted.

I think it was nerves that got them. (bottom right)
Seth had an alright game though, not his best though.
He drew an offensive foul, saved the ball
from going outta bounds, and
made a couple 3's.

Overall the boys played ok, but really
not as good as they could have.
If they would have played good, they
would have blown Kamiah outta there.

From the scoreboard pics,
(we're visitors) you can see that it was
a pretty close game for the most part.
We were down by 12 points
at half time, but the boys came out
on FIRE! We didn't let them score
but once in the 3rd quarter. It was awesome!
With a minute left, we were only down by a few.
But, we had to foul so the clock would stop.
They hit every foul shot, and ours just
wouldn't go...thus it looks like they
beat us pretty good, even though it was
SO close pretty much the entire game!

Basketball Update #1

So we didn't get the first game. Bummer!
But it was a tight game at the end.
We came back after being 12 points
down, and didn't let them score
but only once in the 3rd quarter.
Soda plays West J tomorrow at 3:00.
Good luck boys!

I'm Going Crazy!!

bags packed, homework done (well all but math),
and now to wait...
12 hours, that's all...12 hours, i can do this!!!
then I'm outta here and off to Boise
for the State Basketball Tournament.

My prediction-
Game 1: A little clumsy, just getting
the nervous jitters out, but WIN!
Game 2: Jitters are gone, it's a close game,
but we WIN!
Game 3: We are unstoppable,
and totally kick butt to WIN
the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!
....and the best part
is I'll BE THERE!!!
