Freezing!

It actually looked like this??...
You can even see the mountain in the distance!

What it looks like today....no mountain :(

The air quality has been really yucky down here.
Yesterday we couldn't see the mountains to the east...and that
is sad! since we are practically living on them.
Don't get me wrong, it really is beautiful.
I'm just tired of living in this toxic snow globe!
But I did get some pretty shots:

The reflective windows of the hotel would have made a neat shot,
but I couldn't capture it on camera.

Look how thick the frost is:

Another Walmart Adventure

Oh yes, another. There have been many, but this one's the first to be documented. I took a lot, but here are a few that capture the night.

Lauren, Kali, Nicole, and Julia. We were all so very excited!

On our way!

Nicole-woah! don't tip over!

Lauren-Ready to race

Julia-back to her younger years

Nicole's face=priceless!

"Hey! make a scary face!" AH!! Lauren nailed it!

Attempting to find the movie at the McDonald's redbox...fail!

At the Smith's Redbox....fail!

We decided to give up. We cooked the pizza's and are now finishing Ever After. Thanks for an awesome night girls!

Nicole's Fantabulous Birthday!

Wednesday was Nicole's birthday!! We had so much fun surprising her! First, at midnight we sang "Happy Birthday" decked out in party attire, and gave Nicole balloons. We also decorated the front door.

Annie, Ryan, and Eric helped us celebrate really early that morning.

Katie Marsh, Nicole's visiting teaching companion, gave these to Nicole and helped us make breakfast for her. SO pretty and they smell WONDERFUL!!

75 balloons and a few fried brain cells later...I made arrows leading from the front door to her bedroom, where she found the candy and balloons all over her bed.

Decorating the delicious cake

Surprise! We made the cake while her parent's took her out to dinner.

I think it was a success! Woohoo!

Measuring For a Coffin

Ever been measured for a coffin? If not...find someone who knows how to measure you (You can look at the other pictures after you've been measured!!) and skip down to the fruit pizza pictures haha, but if you have been measured for a coffin, then you know how it is done. My roommates, Kali and Nicole, had never been measured. I didn't know Julia was measuring them until later, but I did capture Nicole on camera.

Then we went next door

hahahahaha!!!

Fruit pizza!! Randomly we get the urge to make fruit pizza! yum yum yum!

Watching Soleil

So I got to watch Soleil a couple of days while I was home for Christmas break. She is so cute! Every time I watch her it reminds me of how amazing all mothers are and how much energy and patience they have to have! But it is good practice for when I have kids of my own. I also got to watch her sister Zippy too! but I didn't have a camera out then. We made binoculars with the rolls leftover from the Christmas wrapping paper. It's amazing to me that something as simple as a roll of paper can be so fun!

Playing with the "cows"

She's a cute one!

I was washing some dishes while she played with the "cows" (which is what she calls all of the toy animals) right behind me. Then, she was telling me that she wanted to get up on the counter to see what I was doing. I put her up and a little while after that she said "Me?" and pointed toward the bubbly sink. I asked her if what she wanted was to get in and she said "Okay!!" haha, so I filled the other sink with clean water and of course a lot of bubbles. I think she had quite a bit of fun! or at least I did!

Say "Cheese"!!

Note how full the sink is, haha

She sang most of the time

There's a good one!
