New Years

New Years Eve was full of adventures.
The night before, Shay and I spent the night
at Grandma's house.  We played cards with her,
and then Shay gave me a haircut before we met
Katie in McCammon.  Then we headed to Salt Lake
to pick up Logan, Colton, and Jake who were flying
in from Atlanta.  They'd taken a car back east that week.
Their flights had been delayed, so we ended up getting there
a couple hours early.  So, we went to the Layton Mall
and Old Navy.  Then we headed to the airport where we
played Uno, and then Nasty with Uno cards.  Then the boys
called and said they had landed and were just waiting to be
taxied over.  So when people came through the terminal we
put the cards away and started to watch for them.  They didn't
come...and didn't come...and then we got a call and they said
they were at the 5th Bag claim.  They must've walked right by us!
We walked over to the bag returns, and there were only four!
It was then that we realized we had waited in the wrong terminal haha!

We stopped in Layton to eat, and then headed to Logan
so Jake could pick up his truck.  Then we met them in Soda
at Grandma and Grandpa's house to head out home.
Unfortunately we did not make it back by midnight.
So we brought in the New Year at Robber's Roost, just before Chubb Flatts.
But when we got back, everything was pitch black in the house and out.
They'd flipped the breaker, and when we all got in the house
everyone yelled and hollered all the while banging pots and pans.
Our dogs thought we'd lost it, once again haha.
We turned the power back on, and listened to stories from the boys
taking their adventure back east.  Then practically all of the cousins
crashed in the living room...and can I say that Colton's feet were a
LOT closer to my head than I would have liked! haha...
Seth and I went feeding the next morning, but when we got back
there was of course food and games til everyone left that afternoon.
I hope everyone had a very Happy New Year!
and here's to an awesome 2011!
