Mom's still getting better. She has a hard time staying awake,
but you can't blame her after going through that.
She's really drugged up for pain and nausea.
She was in recovery for about two hours,
and then they wheeled her back to her room.
On the way, her iv stand got caught in some wires
that are hanging down out of the ceiling.
(there's construction for the new surgical center)
Well, we didn't realize it until it was too late,
and it ripped the iv out of her wrist.
YOUCH!!!!!! That's all I could say.
It's definitely going to hurt later,
but I'm super grateful for the doctors and
nurses that are taking care of her.
They've all done a really good job.
I didn't take any pictures...Mom'd kill me if I did.
But I might take a picture of the wire
that ripped the iv out of her hand.
MSHA definitely wouldn't approve! haha
I'll give another update tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteIt's ok Amy! :) she just had a hysterectomy. just a big deal because it is surgery. she says to tell you hi, and that she is fine. she's doing a lot better today! but she'll be in the hospital for at least another day.
