Stockon Trip with the Family

Two weekends ago, Uncle Craig & Aunt Laura's

family came to Grandma & Grandpa's house.

Our family planned to go to town, and then plans

changed that we would all go on a picnic to Stockton.

We picked up chicken from Broulims and we were on our way!

We ate at the cabin, visited, played bocce ball,

played in the creek, and then we got some watercress.

Here are the guys...flicking cactus into the air??? haha

There was a TON of watercress.

So, we made sure that we could get it all ;)

Mom Update #1

Mom's still getting better. She has a hard time staying awake,

but you can't blame her after going through that.

She's really drugged up for pain and nausea.

She was in recovery for about two hours,

and then they wheeled her back to her room.

On the way, her iv stand got caught in some wires

that are hanging down out of the ceiling.

(there's construction for the new surgical center)

Well, we didn't realize it until it was too late,

and it ripped the iv out of her wrist.

YOUCH!!!!!! That's all I could say.

It's definitely going to hurt later,

but I'm super grateful for the doctors and

nurses that are taking care of her.

They've all done a really good job.

I didn't take any pictures...Mom'd kill me if I did.

But I might take a picture of the wire

that ripped the iv out of her hand.

MSHA definitely wouldn't approve! haha

I'll give another update tomorrow!
